The Mount Avoca Winery Tour de Pyrenees is a mountain bike race held in and around the Pyrenees forest of central Victoria over a weekend. We call
it a “Weekend Classic” with 6 stages ranging from 5 to 30km on offer.
Each stage of the course is designed to challenge different mountain bike skills. Test your abilities on climbs, descents, sprints and
longer stages on the single track and trails that combine them all. Push yourself in the special stage to win time bonuses, and dig deep
in the longer stages to challenge your endurance.

After the recent rains the Golden Triangle Epic has been rescheduled to 5th December 2010.

Round 4 of the 2010 Chase the Sun MTB Series has been rescheduled to a later
(hopefully drier) date and therefore is not accepting entries at this time until
a new date is announced. We are working with Parks Victoria on establishing a
new date and will announce this as soon as possible.
Following the wettest winter in 13years at Lysterfield Park, the trails (both
Management Vehicle Only, mountain bike trails and for that matter the entire
park) are holding an unprecedented amount of water. We have taken participant
welfare and environmental values into account, when making this decision.
We want to apologise to you and the riders for the inconvenience and will have
the new date for the event in the coming week. We are looking into October 17th 2010 as a possibility I hope this date can work for you.

The Golden Triangle Epic has been rescheduled from the 5th September to later in
2010 due to factors out of our control. This decision has been made due to
unprecedented rainfall in the area in the past weeks. Rain is also predicted for
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the coming week, this further
compounds the problems. Consultation has occurred between the event managers and
landowners. The event venue is inaccessible by car, some of planned tracks and
creek crossings are flooded. There are also Issues around rider safety and track
and environmental damage which were taken into account, when making this
decision.
We want to apologise to riders for the inconvenience and will have the new date for
the event in the coming week.
